Saif Ali Khan will be the tenth Nawab of Pataudi state. The Indian government no longer recognizes the such kingly titles, but the locals want the ceremony to continue. Mansoor Ali Khanwas the last Nawab who reigned from 1952 till 1971. For purely sentimental reasons, the people of Pataudi wanted Saif to be the crowned Nawab. The crowning ceremony will take place in Pataudi at the end of this month.
